Creating a "grand landscape" such as this new piece is always exciting. This large canvas is now hanging in the Manos Gallery in Tubac, AZ. It was requested by the owner, Mary Helen Watson, to have me paint something "dramatic, colorful and full of light" for her collectors and patrons to experience in her fine art gallery. As this subject matter is my forte, the incredible grandeur of the desert landscape of the Southwest, I dived right into the project - and here it is: "Exaltation."
